My favorite albums of 2023, #5. Totally different than Orcutt's tortured blues guitar, this is an exploration of phased loops in the style of Steve Reich's old tape experiments. It achieves a hypnotic rhythm in the first few minutes and never lets go as it twists and mutates.

Absolutely love this recording. I listen to it at work. I listen to it in the car on the way home from work. I listen to it while falling asleep. Curtis’ cello is so amazing. Just got the vinyl in the mail from Discogs the other day! Can’t wait to play on my hi-fi system!
